Basement Waterproofing - Water damage can have a major impact on your home or business. It only takes a little bit of water to cause major water damage. That damage can lead to a whole host of structural issues for your building & air quality issues in your home.
Foundation Repair - The most common cause of foundation damage boils down to unstable soil conditions causing structures to shift. Whether that’s because of high moisture content or poor soil conditions, this movement throws off the weight distribution of your home, causing potentially catastrophic damage.
Crawlspace Repair - Much of the air you breathe comes from your crawlspace. By reducing moisture, soil gases & mold/mildew you will be improving the overall air quality in your home.

One of the most common calls we get is from homeowners with a crawlspace that has excess moisture. Many crawlspaces were initially built with no encapsulation, and this can leave the foundation of a home vulnerable to damage. In addition to the direct problems caused by water freezing and thawing during our Michigan winters, there is also the issue of mold and mildew which seeps into your home from the crawlspace. Mold and mildew produce allergens and other toxic substances that can affect your health.
This homeowner in Dryden Township actually had two separate crawlspaces, each connecting to the basement. The crawlspaces were damp and mildewy, and there was a leak in the back wall. This combination meant that there was a lot of moisture under the house and it was affecting the air quality in the home as well.
To solve this initial problem, we repaired and waterproofed the back wall of the basement. We also did a full crawlspace encapsulation for both crawlspaces. Once we had the foundation protected, we then added a battery backup system for the sump pump, and installed a dehumidifier. It's important to remember that once the repair is done, protection needs to be put in place to mitigate future problems from possibly reoccurring.
After the job was done, the homeowner was so pleased with the work we did that they called us back out to finish waterproofing the rest of the basement! We've done a lot of work in Lapeer County, but this home in Dryden Twp was a great example of our prior work with a homeowner leading to addition work in the future. That is something we take a lot of pride in, so we wanted to take the opportunity to share another example of how we operate.
