Foundation Raising

Foundation raising, commonly achieved using hydraulic jacks and deep-driven helical piers, is the definitive method for reversing foundation settlement while restoring a home’s watertight security. When fluctuating moisture levels cause the soil beneath a home to shrink and shift, the foundation sinks unevenly. This movement creates severe structural fractures, makes  floors unlevel, and tears apart existing waterproofing seals, leaving the basement highly vulnerable to groundwater flooding.

During the raising process, high-strength piers are driven deep into stable, load-bearing strata to bypass weak surface soil. Hydraulic jacks then carefully lift the foundation back toward its original plumb level. While simple underpinning stabilizes a home in its sunken position, only foundation raising actively closes structural wall and floor cracks by bringing the framework back into alignment. This precise realignment allows for a permanent, watertight seal, preventing future water intrusion while completely restoring the structural and skeletal integrity of the home.
