Wall Anchors

Wall anchors are heavy-duty structural stabilizing devices designed to permanently counteract lateral pressure from expanding, water-saturated soils outside basement walls. When poor exterior drainage causes clay soils to swell, hydrostatic pressure forces foundation walls to bow, crack, and lean inward. Wall anchors solve this by utilizing a steel plate inside the basement wall connected by a high-strength steel rod to an earth anchor driven deep into stable soil outside the home.

By tightening the interior anchor nut, the system uses the yard’s natural load-bearing capacity to pull the bowing wall back toward its original position. In terms of waterproofing, stabilizing the wall is critical; it stops structural cracks from widening and creating direct pathways for groundwater intrusion. When combined with interior drainage, wall anchors permanently secure the foundation’s skeletal integrity, ensuring the structural repairs remain immovable while keeping the basement structurally sound and watertight.
